    Ana Carolina Salgado and students will attend the XXXI Brazilian Symposium on Databases (SBBD 2016). SBBD is the official database event of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). It is the largest venue in Latin America for presenting and discussing research results in the database domain. In its 31th edition, the symposium will be held in Salvador, Bahia, on October 04th-07th , 2016. Continuing the tradition of previous editions, the SBBD comprises a broad technical program, including: technical sessions, keynotes, tutorials, and short-courses. Additionally, the program shall include A Workshop of Theses and Dissertations in Databases (WTDBD), a Demo Session and a Poster session.

  • UFS Research at CBSOFT 2016

    INES researcher Marcos Dósea from the project “Software Productivity Laboratory Network”  will attend the 7st Brazilian Conference on Software: Theory and Practice (CBSoft) in Maringá, from the 19th to the 23th of September 2016. He will present three papers: (1) “Towards an Approach to Prevent Long Methods Based on Architecture-Sensitive Recommendations” accepted to VEM 2016, from authors Marcos Dósea, Cláudio Sant’Anna and Cleverton Santos; (2) “Uma Abordagem para Prevenir a Erosão do Design baseada em Recomendações Sensíveis à Arquitetura” accepted to WTDSOFT 2016, from authors Marcos Dósea and Cláudio Sant’Anna; and (3) “ContextLongMethod: Uma Ferramenta Sensível à Arquitetura para Detecção de Métodos Longos” accepted to TOOLS Session 2016 , from authors Cleverton Santos, Marcos Dósea and Cláudio Sant’Anna.

    INES will be present at the ICCSA 2016 (The 16th International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications). The conference will be held in Beijing, China on July 4 – 7, 2016. Research members from the institute had the following paper accepted on this conference: An experience of constructing a service API to delivery corporate data, Mário Andrade Vieira de Melo Neto (IFRN) and  Gibeon Soares de Aquino Júnior (UFRN) and Itamir de Morais Barroca Filho (UFRN). Itamir Filho will attend the ICCSA 2016 as conference speaker.

  • INES at AMW 2016

    Diego Ernesto Rosa Pessoa will attend the Alberto Mendelzon International Workshop on Foundations of Data Management (AMW 2016) to present the following papers: “Towards a Multi-Layer Architecture for Combination of Schema Matchers” and “A Query-driven and Incremental Process for Entity Resolution“. The Alberto Mendelzon Workshop is an initiative of the Latin American community of researchers in data management. This event is held annually since 2006, and it aims to create opportunities for dissemination and exchange of research results from globally produced investigations, encouraging participants to propose innovative and technological developments. The 10th edition will be held in Panama City, Panama from June 6th to 10th 2016.

    Carlo Marcelo (INES, ASSERT & CIn/UFPE) will attend the IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2016) to present the following papers: “A Meta-Analysis for Security Threats over the Web Ecosystem” and “Towards a Taxonomy for Security Threats on the Web Ecosystem”,  authors: Carlo Marcelo Revoredo da Silva, Jose Lutiano Costa da Silva, Ricardo Batista Rodrigues, Daniel Couto Gatti, Pericles Cunha Barbosa de Miranda, Kellyton dos Santos Brito, Leandro Marques do Nascimento, Rodrigo Elia Assad, Ruy José Guerra Barreto de Queiroz and Vinicius Cardoso Garcia. The conference will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 25-29 April 2016.

    This activity is part of the project “Social Machines and Research Team – SMaRT” and is one of the results of the research being done by ASSERT Lab.

  • INES at WebMedia 2015

    INES will attend the XXI Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia 2015), to present the paper entitled: “An Extensible Platform for the Transformation of Heterogeneous Data in Smart Cities”,  authors: Cícero Alves and Gibeon Aquino. This paper is a result of MSc research of Cícero Alves under supervision of Gibeon Aquino (UFRN). The conference will be held in Manaus (Brazil) as part of 21th  from 27-October-2015 to 30-October-2015.

    The paper “Software Evolution Sonification” was accepted for publication at the 3rd Workshop on Software Visualization, Maintenance, and Evolution (VEM 2015), co-located with the Brazilian Conference on Software: Theory and Practice (CBSoft 2015). CBSoft will be held in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), from 21 to 25 September 2015.
