The International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER-2009) occurs this year, for the first time, in Brazil, in Gramado, in November, 09-12.

This is a great opportunity for researchers in the areas of Databases Systems and Software Engineering, in particular the Requirement Analysis, to take advantage of the invited talks, accepted papers and several workshops happening with the conference. From the workshops, we can highlight some of major interest for the Context Group project: Joint International workshop on Metamodels, Ontologies, Semantic Technologies, and Information Systems for the Semantic Web <#MOST-ONISW>, Conceptual Modeling in the Large <#CoMoL> and  Requirements, Intentions and Goals in Conceptual Modeling <#RIGiM>

In particular, for the INES project, subjects related to ontologies, context (more specifically personalization) and other semantic aspects will be presented and discussed throughout the conference. Tutorials and important invited speakers in the area will be major moments in the evenement.

Besides, being at the conference will be an excellent opportunity to meet people, make new contacts and even stablish new collaborations.

    – Prof. Ana Carolina Salgado, UFPE, is a researcher of the project “Models, Processes and Tools for the Development of Context-Sensitive Systems”.
