INES Context Group has a paper in the UMedia’2011, Sao Paulo/Brasil
(0)Publicado em May 16th, 2011PublicationsThe paper entitled “Towards an Ubiquitous and Context Sensitive Public Transportation System” was accepted on the 4th International Conference on Ubi-Media Computing (U-Media 2011). This paper is a result of the work being done by the researchers of the project “Models, Processes and Tools for the Development of Context-Sensitive Systems” that resulted in the project accepted in the Grand Challenges for Computer Science call (2010) see list here.
The paper presents UbiBus, a proposal for a ubiquitous, context-sensitive public transportation system that aims to specify and implement technological solutions (e.g. models, algorithms and tools) to ease the access to information about public transportations. It considers the mobility of people and vehicles and the occurrence of dynamic factors that could affect the transportation and provide passengers with advanced information about the available public transportation in a city.
