INES receives a Best Paper Award at Communicating Process Architectures 2012 – WoTUG 34

INES researchers were awarded Best Papers at Communicating Process Architectures 2012 – WoTUG 34. The first place was the paper ”JCircus 2.0: an Extension of an Automatic Translator from Circus to Java”, authored by Samuel Barrocas e Marcel Oliveira (DIMAp-UFRN).

INES at Journal of Systems and Software (JSS)

INES researchers members from the project An Investigation of Methods, Processes, Tools, and Metrics for the Development of Software Product Lines (SPL) — in portuguese, Uma Investigação de Processos, Ferramentas e Métricas para o Desenvolvimento de Linhas de Produto de Software, had one accepted paper at Journal of Systems and Software (JSS).

Researcher from PUC-Rio visits UFBA

Prof. Alessandro Garcia is going to visit UFBA on December 15-18, 2012, and has meetings with researchers involved in the project “Concern-Driven Measurement of Software Modularity”, for instance, Claudio Sant’Anna (UFBA) and Christina Chavez (UFBA). The researchers will work on a joint paper as well as discuss ongoing research work in the context of the INES project.

Laboratory ForAll-INES at UFRN acquires equipments and office material

The INES Formal Methods and Languages Laboratory of UFRN, acquired equipments and office material. This acquisition included laser printers tonners, paper, 4 no-breaks and 1 wi-fi router.

INES Researcher will attend the Big Data Workshop: Challenges and Opportunities

INES researcher prof. Vinicius Cardoso Garcia will attend the Big Data Workshop: Challenges and Opportunities, on November, 13 of 2012. The workshop will be held at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica – ITA, in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil.

The workshop aims to discuss partnerships and ongoing activities at ITA and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The Big Data Workshop: Challenges and Opportunities, is supported by QIBRAS – Brasil Information Quality (in portuguese, Qualidade da Informação Brasil) and BRASSCOM – Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies.

Researcher from UFCG visits UFBA

Prof. Dalton Serey will visit UFBA on December 2-3, 2012, and has meetings with researchers involved in the project “Models, Techniques and Tools for Software Evolution”, for instance, Christina Chavez (UFBA) and Roberto Bittencourt (UEFS). The researchers will work on a joint paper as well as discuss ongoing research work in the context of the INES project.
