INES at SBCUP 2015

INES will be represented at the SBCUP 2015, to be held in Recife (Brazil) as part of CSBC 2015 from 20-July-2015 to 23-July-2015. Research members from the “Indolor – Indoor Location Radar” project had the following paper accepted on this conference:

INES at ITNG 2014

The paper “Experimental Evaluation of a Multi-Paradigm, Message-Oriented Mobile Middleware” was accepted for publication at 11th International Conference on Information Technology – New Generations (ITNG 2014).

This activity is part of the project  “Investigating Algorithms, Techniques and Tools for Search Based Software Engineering” — in portuguese, Investigando Algoritmos, Técnicas e Ferramentas para Engenharia de Software Baseada em Buscas.

INES researchers members from the “Software Productivity Group – SPG” had two papers accepted for the Generative Programming and Component Engineering (GPCE’11) that will happen in Portland, Oregon – USA, on October 22 – 23.

INES presence at SBLP 2009

The paper “A Design Rule Language for Aspect-Oriented Programming” was accepted for publication in the XIII Brazilian Symposium on Programming Languages – (SBLP 2009). The article is part of the project “Tool Support for Software Product Lines Development and Evolution” (Goal: Develop techniques, tools and domain-specific languages for modularization of the implementation of features in software product lines) and will be presented by the member Alberto Costa Neto of the project from 19 to 21 August 2009 in Gramado / RS.

Aspect-Oriented Programming is known as a technique to modularize crosscutting concerns. However, buildings that are designed to support crosscutting modularity can break the modularity of the class. This can be mitigated through Design Rules between classes and aspects. We present a language that supports many of the Design Rules found in aspect-oriented systems, making it easier to express and check them automatically. We discuss how our language improves the crosscutting modularity without breaking the modularity of the class. Furthermore, we give some details about the semantics of the language expressed in Alloy

M.Sc. Dissertation Awarded – VII CTDQS – SBQS 2009

A dissertação de Mestrado de Fernando Raposo da UFPE sob a orientação dos professores Silvio Meira e Eduardo Almeida foi premiada no VII Concurso de Teses e Dissertações em Qualidade de Software (CTDQS) realizado em Ouro Preto, com a primeira colocação.

O trabalho está no contexto do projeto “Uma Investigação de Processos, Ferramentas e Métricas para o Desenvolvimento de Linhas de Produto de Software” e corresponde a meta “Definir Processos para o Desenvolvimento de Linhas de Produto” onde aspectos relacionados a teste de core assets são abordados. Toda essa experiência está sendo utilizada no projeto.
